My name is Galen Davis and I am going to be your child’s baseball coach this upcoming season, Spring 2023. This is my first season coaching baseball but not my first coaching at this age level. For the past three seasons, I have been coaching U5/U6 recreational soccer. I am looking forward to meeting you and your kiddos. Below are some details about our upcoming season:
Our first practice will be held on Wednesday, February 1st from 4:30 PM-5:30PM. Practice will be located at Desert Canyon Elementary School -SE. All of our practices moving forward will be on Wednesdays at 4:30 PM. If this time does not work for you and your family you may email Jason Mullis at
and he can try and get your child on a team with a different practice time slot. You will need to contact him before January 23rd.
Opening day will be on February 18th. Our schedule has yet to be finalized, but once it is I will be emailing it to you. For game days, our uniform has been assigned to us and is attached below. The league will provide every player with a hat and jersey but everyone is responsible for their own pants, belt and socks. To keep it simple we will be wearing white pants, black socks, and black belts.
Lastly, as of right now we do not have an assistant manager. At this level, everything runs a lot smoother with help from parental support. With that being said, we only practice for an hour each week and the best way to maximize this time is to have a few helpers.
